YEREVAN. - Armenia highly appreciates development of bilateral cooperation with Scandinavian region and Sweden in particular, said Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan at the meeting with Swedish FM Carl Bildt on Tuesday.
Swedish FM emphasized the efforts of Sweden towards development of relations with Armenia and South Caucasus region, Armenian MFA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Foreign Ministers discussed the issues of expanding the legal framework between the two countries, development of inter-parliamentary, educational and cultural cooperation, establishment of decentralized relations and promotion of business ties.
The sides touched upon relations between Armenia and EU with a stress on Eastern Partnership implementation process and preparation works for visa facilitation and comprehensive free trade zone creation.
The Ministers also exchanged views on Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process and confirmed that there is no alternative to peaceful resolution of the conflict.
