Armenia’s Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan today met with residents of downtown Yerevan Zhirayr Avanyan, Vardan Gabrielyan and Harutyun Serobyan, as well as their attorneys Alina Avetisyan and Nelly Papyan, who are involved in the relations pertaining to alienation of properties for ensuring overriding public interests.

Minister Badasyan attached importance to the need to find an effective way to solve the problem, briefly touched upon the activities of the inter-agency commission set up upon the relevant decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia of December 9, 2019, listened to the concerns of the residents and their attorneys and discussed the legislation that will help solve the problem.

The participants of the meeting presented the problems having emerged in the processes of alienation of property for ensuring overriding public interests and expressed their positions on the solution.

The Ministry of Justice will continue to explore the issue.
