YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received French Minister for Cooperation Henri de Raincout today.
“France plays an important role in the agenda of Armenia’s foreign policy and we seek to deepen the bilateral cooperation. It is conditioned both by centuries-old ties, sympathy between two peoples and presence of a large Armenian community in France,” Serzh Sargsyan stated in his speech, the presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The officials expressed content with the multifaceted cooperation between two states and made a high appraisal of regular political dialogue, close inter-parliamentary cooperation, cultural and educational ties and French companies’ presence in Armenia’s economy.
The sides agreed the development of trade and economic ties, trade turnover and intensification of business ties between two states are priority issues.
The diplomats also discussed a wide range of issues on Armenia-EU relations.
