YEREVAN. – Armenian males and females have first sexual relationship earlier than in previous decades.
In past decade on average males had first sex at 17-18 years, while at present the age of first sexual relationship is 15-16 years, sexual pathologist Vrezh Shahramanyan told the journalists on Friday, and added there is no precise data for females.
“Lack of information and low quality of gender education is concerning especially in the regions of Armenia,” the doctor noted and added that infertility rate is high among males. “Though we generally blame females for infertility, statistics show different results. Various reasons, such as gender viruses and environmental conditions, influence on the quality and quantity of semen and cause male infertility. It is recommended not to have casual intimate relations.”
