Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is suing Good Party leader Meral Aksener for comparing him to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Aksener, a conservative nationalist dubbed the iron lady of Turkey, told parliament that Netanyahu and Erdogan used similar tactics to hold on to power.

Netanyahu's recent campaign in Gaza is driven by politics and a desire to garner public support after four fruitless elections in two years, she said.

Erdogan called Aksener's comments immoral.

He sued for damages of 250,000 lira ($ 30,000).
