YEREVAN. - The last three years have been exceptionally hard for Armenian people and for Dashnaktsutyun as well, said ARFD bureau chairman Hrant Margaryan to the party’s Supreme Assembly on Friday.
“The domestic policy saw a head-on crash, instigated by previous presidential elections. In 2008 Armenian president launched the Armenian-Turkish talks which ruffled the national reality. In August 2008 Russian-Georgian war broke out, leaving Armenia with realization of vulnerability of its security, the possibility of new war increased.
We saw global financial and economic crisis, followed by unsuccessful policies of Armenian Government. As a result the country sank into heavy socio-economic crisis.
The abovementioned proves that current authorities do not possess the political will to tackle corruption, economic injustice and insolence of local elite. We need a change of power system.” said Margaryan.
He concluded that current Armenian reality is divided by a river with authorities advocating the interests of strong and wealthy entities on one bank and ARDF standing for social justice on the other.
