Ukraine is considering the possibility of banning Belavia flights to Ukraine if the EU countries make the same decision after the arrest of the founder of the NEXTA Telegram channel recognized as extremist in Belarus, Roman Protasevich, Strana.ua reported referring to the head of the President's Office, Mikhail Podolyak.

This issue will now be in the process of discussion and will definitely be correlated with the decisions of European countries, Podolyak said.

Also, according to him, Ukrainian airlines may stop flying over Belarus. Undoubtedly, the incident in the skies of Belarus will have extraordinary legal and political consequences for the country itself. Perhaps the solution will be that not a single airline from civilized countries, including Ukraine, will enter the skies of Belarus, he said.

According to him, the situation with the arrest of Protasevich caused reputational damage to Belarus and President Alexander Lukashenko.
