YEREVAN. - The information that an Azerbaijani soldier was wounded in a ceasefire violation by the Armenian side in Nakhchivan disseminated by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry is untrue.

“The Armenian armed forces maintain the ceasefire regime strictly. Meanwhile, the breaches of ceasefire on the contact line and attempts to aggravate the situation are the Azerbaijani side’s regular actions. Only on June 29, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire 29 times, including five times from snipers,” the press service of Armenian MOD informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The ministry did not rule out that an incident may have occurred in the Azerbaijani army. Thus, the Azerbaijani side again tried to blame Armenians. “If there are arguments, Azerbaijanis may appeal to international agencies to conduct an investigation,” Armenia’s MOD said.

Azerbaijani mass media disseminated information Sarkhan Azer Ahmadov (born in 1991) was allegedly wounded in a ceasefire violation by the Armenian side in Shahbuz region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
