October 11 has been declared a day of mourning in Georgia, the latter’s First Channel television reports. This was announced by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

A residential building collapsed in Batumi Friday. The death toll from this tragedy has reached six, including two minors. Three more people remain under the rubble, and the search for them continues.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has detained three people—the owner of a first-floor apartment of this building, and two workers who were renovating this apartment in gross violation of safety rules.
