YEREVAN.- Resolution of the Karabakh conflict is a personal matter of the Russian President, affair of honor, said political expert Sergey Minasyan.

Such failures as Kazan meeting cast a shadow on the reputation of the Russian leader, he added.

According to him, Medvedev showed resoluteness in the conflict settlement. New proposals presented by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov should be considered in this context, Minasyan believes.

“I think that the package contains renewed version of the proposals which had been already submitted to the parties. However, the core issues of all proposals remain the same, in particular, the issue of holding a referendum on Nagorno-Karabakh’s status. It is the problem which infuriates Azerbaijan,” he said.
