YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: The RA Ministry of Justice has come up with a draft package on making an amendment to the Constitutional Law on [Political] Parties.

Under current regulations, only funds can be transferred to the [Armenian] state budget. It turns out that in case of liquidation of a foundation, other remaining property [of this foundation] cannot actually be transferred to the state budget, as the state budget is formed exclusively from financial means.

At the same time, other property cannot be attached to any body, as the provisions of the Constitutional Law on Parties, the RA Civil Code, and the RA Law on Foundations clearly state that in this case, the property is transferred to the state budget.

According to the substantiation [of the aforesaid draft package], a problem arises in connection with attaching the non-monetary property to the relevant body, and the need arises for a constitutional law On Making an Amendment to the Constitutional Law on Parties.
