YEREVAN. -The number of people seeking job in Armenia has increased dramatically for the first time, particularly a total of 26,195 people in the second quarter of 2011 against 14,889 in the first quarter, head of labor market analysis and forecast division at State Employment Service Agency Anahit Parsadanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

 “For comparison, 13,882 people and 14,327 were registered at the agency in the first and second quarters of 2010 respectively,” she said. According to her, engineers, economists, teachers and drivers are mainly seeking jobs.

“It is noteworthy that job seekers represent the age group 30-55 years, the youth makes about 20%. Most young people are seeking job during summer months,” Parsadanyan said.
