ANKARA. - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Azerbaijan on July 27.

Erdogan will hold a tête-à-tête meeting with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, the Turkish governmental press service reports. Following the meeting, talks in an extended format will be held.

The sides are expected to discuss issues on regional and international development, as well as bilateral relations, SalamNews reports.

Earlier citing its sources APA reported an agreement on transit of gas between Azerbaijan and Turkey will be signed within the framework of the visit. The sides are likely to discuss issues on abolition of the visa regime.

The first meeting of the Council of Strategic Cooperation between the two countries will also be held.
