YEREVAN. - Livestock sector of Armenia shows tendency of sustained growth. As for June 1, 2011 the number of cows increased by 1.5 thousand, hogs by 3.5 thousand, ship and goat by almost 32 thousand heads, says the press service of Armenian Ministry of Agriculture.

According to calculations, given current rates of growth, the meat production will increase by 3 thousand tons, reaching 127 thousand tons annually. Dairy production will increase up to 9 thousand tons and reach 610 thousand tons annually.
