Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan of Armenia does not see a political crisis in the country.

He brought two arguments supporting his respective view: Last year's snap parliamentary elections which, according to the FM, resolved the political crisis of the time, were recognized by all international organizations as transparent and democratic.

On the other hand, in Mirzoyan's opinion, the small number of participants in the rallies in Armenia does not indicate people’s support. He noted that in a democratic country—which in his view, Armenia also is—everyone has the right to stage rallies, and the parliamentary opposition can use its right to criticize the authorities from the legislature rostrum—which, according to him, unfortunately or fortunately, it does not do.

The Armenian FM noted that he could understand the Armenian opposition if it spoke about the need to cancel the November 9, 2020 statement, the Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation, and exit the process of unblocking regional communications. But since the opposition does not do that, as per Ararat Mirzoyan, this suggests speculation.
