October 21, the children’s park symbolizing friendship with Azerbaijan was set on fire by strangers in Tarsus city of Turkey.

According to local mass media, the firemen managed to extinguish the fire promptly. Presently, Turkish police conducts the investigation and seeks to detect organizers of the arson. It is possible that the incident is the response to anti-Turkish hysteria in Azerbaijan, in particular the removal of flags in Baku.

The information on the arson was voiced in “Jarchi” information program broadcasted by Azerbaijani Public TV.
