Global Startup Ecosystem Index-2022" has published the most comprehensive report on the ecosystem in 1,000 cities and 100 countries, among which Yerevan ranks 244th in the world and is ahead of cities of other countries in the Caucasus region.

According to the report, Yerevan's startup ecosystem is ranked 244th in the world and is showing positive dynamics, rising 38 positions since 2021. Yerevan is also ranked #1 in Armenia and 19th in Eastern Europe. As the report says, Yerevan is an ideal place to locate start-ups in software and data, education, marketing and sales. There are 14 software and data startups, 7 education startups and 5 marketing and sales startups in Yerevan as the most popular industries.

For comparison, according to the mentioned international rating, Tbilisi was ranked 382nd, Baku 443rd and Ankara 280th.

As for Armenia, it was ranked 60th in the global ranking of ecosystem of startups, rising by 5 points.
