YEREVAN.- Dialogue between the ruling coalition and the opposition continues, said MP from ruling Republican Party Rafik Petrosyan.
“Pretext used by the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) to suspend the dialogue is fake as the demand put forward by them is not related to country’s political life and cannot be an obstacle to continuation of the dialogue,” he said.
If the measure of restrain against opposition activist is changed it would serve as a precedent and would lead to a chaos in the country.
“If we make concessions, ANC will suggest other reasons for suspending the dialogue,” he added.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, the ANC is suspending its participation in talks with ruling coalition and will return to the negotiating table only after measure of restrain against opposition activist Tigran Arakelyan is changed.
