YEREVAN.- War continues until there are missing persons, said head of Council of relatives of missing servicemen (participants of Karabakh war) Rimma Arakelyan.

“We get support from the Defense Ministry and the society. Sharing our grief, pain of losses, I bow before your tolerance and courage,” she said addressing the gathered at the opening ceremony of monument to missing soldiers in Yerevan.

Relatives of missing soldiers, representatives of the Defense Ministry and NGOs attended the ceremony.

The number of missing in the Karabakh conflict exceeds 200, says Commission on POWs, missing persons, and hostages.

International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) says the list of missing includes 407 people from Armenia, 449 – from Nagorno-Karabakh and 3710 – from Azerbaijan.

Armenian marks the day of missing persons twice – on August 30 and July 29.
