YEREVAN. - Armenian Red Cross starts campaigns to increase public awareness about hepatitis.

The campaign will start on September 2, 4:00 p.m. in Yerevan downtown all the way from Yerevan Medical University Building to Yeritasardakan metro station.

According to World Health Organization, annually one million people die from hepatitis.

80-85 percent of acute cases of the disease turn into chronic and only 15-20 percent are cured without medical interference.

Hepatitis cases are increasing in Armenia.
