Under instruction of Turkish Minister of National Education children of illegal Armenian emigrants will attend schools owned by Armenian community in Turkey as free listeners.

In an interview with the Turkish Hurriyet newspaper Patriarch of Constantinople Patriarchate of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), Archbishop Aram Ateshyan confirmed the reports, stressing they would inform the public in the coming days.

“The ministry has given necessary permission, we are very grateful to them. Children will attend schools as free listeners without examinations and licenses, but we anticipate providing a document confirming they studied in our schools,” Ateshyan said adding there are about 1,000 children from Armenia who will go to school this year.

He stressed that having this document they will be able to obtain a graduation certificate in their country.
