TBILISI. – Local meat producers of Georgia often use donkey meat in their products, head of the anticorruption center for consumers’ protection Gia Burjanadze said, GHN reports.   

“Using the horse meat has already become a usual thing. But now we deal with a donkey meat, which is used in convenience food [packaged half-ready food sold in the stores]. I myself saw it,” Burjanadze told at the interview with Alia newspaper.

According to him, donkey meat should not be used for food as it is dangerous for life. The meat includes ferments that are harmful for human. No matter how well it is cooked, active components remain in the meat. Thus, the donkey meat is not used anywhere in the world.
