Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed concern about the situation in Syria during a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

According to the State Department, Blinken thanked Cavusoglu for his government's efforts to ensure the continuation of the UN-brokered Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The sides stressed the importance of NATO unity in supporting Ukraine's defense against Russia's "unprovoked war."
