YEREVAN. – Numerous media had informed about Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s absence from the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Artsakh’s independence. And his spokesperson had recently tried to explain that by saying Ter-Petrosyan had not received an official invitation.
As is known, however, Ter-Petrosyan has not attended any Armenian Independence Day celebrations for the past 10 years, Yerkir daily writes.
“In response to the paper’s question as to whether Levon Ter-Petrosyan will be formally invited to the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Armenia’s independence, Armenian Presidential Spokesperson Armen Arzumanyan informed that, just like in the years past, when an official invitation is sent to the first President, naturally the same will be done this year, too. And it will soon become clear as to whether Ter-Petrosyan will attend the Independence Day celebrations, or again disregard the invitation,” Yerkir daily writes.
