Contract servicemen Zorand Arzumanyan and Zorak Yeranosyan were killed as a result of an accident near the village of Khnatsakh, Syunik province of Armenia, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"Two servicemen were taken to a garrison hospital with various injuries. The condition of the wounded is assessed as satisfactory.

The crew of the vehicle, trying to help other soldiers of the unit in extremely difficult weather conditions, showed selflessness to perform the task.

Unfortunately, as a result of the accident the above mentioned servicemen died," was said in a report of the Defense Ministry.

On 19 February at 19:46 Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a signal that an UAZ vehicle fell into a ravine near Khnatsakh village because of an avalanche, there are passengers stranded in the vehicle.

Two military calculation of the fire and rescue service of the regional rescue department of the RS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were sent to the scene of the accident.

Rescuers rescued three injured passengers from the car, who were then hospitalized in the medical center of Goris, as well as the body of another citizen.

The medical center later reported that one of the injured died.
