Law enforcement officers have detained one of the deputy mayors of Yerevan, Gevorg Simonyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned.
Earlier, employees of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia searched his office.
The search was carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings launched in connection with alleged misuse during the coronavirus pandemic.
