New information has been received about the accident of a bus carrying schoolchildren in Syunik Province of Armenia.

It was found that this bus carrying the students and staff of the secondary school of Okhtar village had gone off road and the bridge on the Kapan-Norashenik motorway and fallen into the Achanan river from about 5 meters.

The rescuers who arrived at the scene carried seven of the injured to waiting ambulances.

The 25 injured—the bus driver, 9 school employees, and 15 schoolchildren—were taken to the Kapan city hospital, where teacher T. D. (born in 1970) was pronounced dead.

The bus was pulled out of the river with the help of special equipment.
