DILIJAN. – Erik and Marine Martirosyan (brother and sister) were discharged from the hospital after trying to commit a suicide on Monday. However, they have to go under treatment in psychiatric hospital, doctor Silva Petrosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Dilijan city police on Monday received information that two members of a family have tried to commit a suicide and one member committed a suicide. Police arrived at the scene and found the corpse of Gayane Mnatsakanyan, mother of the two children.

Meantime her two children Marine Martirosyan, 23, and Erik Martirosyan, 25, have also tried to commit a suicide. They were hospitalized and doctors managed to save their lives. Currently they are in police department for the interrogation. Afterwards they will be taken to Nork mental hospital to go under professional treatment, the chief doctor stated.

Moreover, this is not the first case that sister and brother try to commit a suicide. External investigation revealed no traces of violence on the corpse of their mother.

Criminal case is instigated. Investigation is underway.
