ISTANBUL. – Customs officers at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport detained 2 women from Armenia, from whose luggage the officers confiscated $200-thousand-US-worth alcohol, cigarettes, and black caviar.       

The Armenian women, who had arrived from Moscow, caught the customs officers’ attention with their suspicious movements at Istanbul’s airport. The officers stopped the women and asked them to open their luggage. Finding a large amount of alcohol, cigarettes and caviar, the customs officers detained the women and started a legal process against them.               

The $200-thousand-worth smuggled goods are confiscated from the women’s luggage, Turkish Haberler news agency reported.
