YEREVAN. – Resumption of military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh is quite possible, Armenian first deputy MOD David Tonoyan said at the interview with RIA Novosty.

“From the viewpoint of our security and under these conditions it is better to consider that military actions may start at any moment and be ready for it, than to think whether there will not be a new war,” he stated.

On this context, cooperation between Armenians of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh is on high level. Armed Forces implement coordinated strategic, operative planning and military trainings, Tonoyan added.

Karabakh conflict started in February, 1988, when Karabakh populated mainly by Armenians declared to be apart from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani authorities tried to return the region forcibly, but failed. Karabakh troops kept also nearby regions as security zone.
