Azerbaijan’s economy is concentrated in the hands of power groups, said US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza.

During the meeting with members of Caspian-European business club, Bryza said Azerbaijan used to have khanates. Nowadays, Azerbaijan is an independent state but there are still khanates in the economy, he added.

Therefore, Bryza stressed, American companies find difficulty in working with locals. They do not understand with who they should work and develop business, contact.az reports.
