STEPANAKERT. – President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan chaired a meeting of the NKR Security Council during which Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan delivered a report.

The President noted that the Defense Army is the main guarantor of Karabakh’s security and increasing of its combat efficiency is one of the key directions of state-building process.

Bako Sahakyan gave concrete instructions to the government and defense ministry for implementation of the discussed issues.

The Security Council also discussed issues related to organization of solemn events on the occasion of Victory Day, 20th anniversary of NKR Defense Army and liberation of Shushi.

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and other officials also participated.
