YEREVAN. - The leader of the Communist Party of Armenia Ruben Tovmasyan gave an estimate for two former presidents of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan and Levon Ter-Petrosyan, at a press conference on Tuesday.

Not willing to comment on Kocharyan's statement about his possible return to politics, Tovmasyan noted that "it is his [Robert Kocharyan's] right.”

“Every citizen of Armenia can protect his rights. No force can stop Kocharyan's return. Who can deny him back? The time will show,” said Tovmasyan.

Referring to the opposition movement of Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Armenian National Congress (ANC), engaged in dialogue with the Armenian authorities, Tovmasyan called it differently.

''Armenian National Comedy always does something: they either meet or they do not. They started with establishing the mafia, ended with a suspension of dialogue because a young man was arrested and needs to be rescued,'' said Tovmasyan, adding that this nervous situation ultimately affects the people.

''Why did they lead the people? Who, after all, will be accountable for victims of March 1 [2008] events. Both ANC and authorities have to be held accountable for this,'' he added.
