The train heading from Georgia to Armenia, which July 1 could not reach its destination due to a landslide, left for Yerevan, the Central Railway Station told Sputnik Armenia.

"The train from Batumi has already left, and will be in Yerevan around 15:00, tickets are sold as usual," the central station said.

Earlier it became known that a landslide occurred near the Marelisi station of Kharagauli Municipality due to heavy rains. As a result, the contact network and rails were damaged.

A number of trains were cancelled.
