YEREVAN. – Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily writes that, according to its information, National Unity Party Chairman Artashes Geghamyan and Christian Democratic Union Chairman Khosrov Harutyunyan recently met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is also chairman of the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

“They went to Sargsyan asking him to make them become MPs through RPA’s [election] list. In response, Serzh Sargsyan said he would think about it and make a decision soon. After this meeting, Artashes Geghamyan began circulation news among his circles that he will become an MP through a ‘gold’ position in RPA’s list and that it was Serzh Sargsyan who made this offer to him,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun writes.
