A tragic incident took place Wednesday in Lori Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reports.

At around 2:40am, the police received a call informing that a tragic incident had occurred at the mining processing plant of Arjut village.

It was found out that at around 2:20am, the soil had collapsed on Lori Province resident Harutyun E., 39, while working in the pit (bunker) of the aforementioned mining processing plant, and he had died as a result.

Fellow workers of this mining processing plant took his body out of the pit.

Criminal proceedings have been launched into this incident.

A forensic medical examination of the body has been ordered.
