A major road accident took place Thursday in Tavush Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reports.

At around 3:15pm, a Mercedes—driven by Tavush Province resident Mher Karamyan, 33—and a Nissan—driven by Yerevan resident Ani Harutyunyan, 34—collided in Ijevan city.

As a result, the Nissan passengers—Yerevan residents Arevik Harutyunyan, 41, Lusine Harutyunyan,39, and Tigran B., 9—as well as the Mercedes passengers—Tavush Province residents Sona Tsaturyan and Naira Tsaturyan,—sustained injuries and were transported to Ijevan Medical Center.

The local investigative department has launched an investigation into this road accident.
