A tragic accident occurred near the village of Arpi. A Mercedes-Benz car crashed into a parked KamAZ truck, leaving two dead, Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reports.

On July 8, at 23:21, the Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Department of Syunik Province received information that an accident with casualties had occurred near the village of Arpi.

A fire and rescue squad of the regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of RA MIA arrived at the scene.

It was determined that on the 116th km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, a Mercedes-Benz car crashed into a parked KamAZ truck.

Before rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver and two passengers were taken out of the Mercedes-Benz car. They were injured and were hospitalized in the medical center of Yeghegnadzor, where two of the victims died.
