A criminal investigation has been launched into the death of three teenagers as a result of a car accident in Ararat Province, reports the spokesperson of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Gor Abrahamyan.
At 2:08pm Sunday, the Ararat department of the police received a report that a car had fallen into the canal of Nor Ughi village of Ararat Province.
It was found out that on the same day at around 1:55pm, a car, being driven by a 15-year-old resident of Nor Kyank village of Ararat Province, had gone off road in Nor Ughi village of Ararat Province and fallen into a canal. As a result, this teen, as well as his 15- and 13-year-old passengers, both from the same village, had died.
A criminal investigation has been launched into this incident.
The said car and the bodies of these three teenagers were found in the aforementioned canal.
Forensic medical examinations of their bodies have been ordered.
The criminal investigation is ongoing.
