On the initiative of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Armenia, the program of voluntary compulsory military service for women aged 18 to 27 has been implemented, the MoD informs NEWS.am.
The term of this service is 6 months, during which its participants serve in a training military unit.
After these 6 months, these women can continue their military service with the Defender of the Nation program and switch to 5-year contract military service.
