Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan on Monday received Dutch Ambassador Nicholas Schermers, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Khachatryan thanked the ambassador for the joint work, and expressed hope that the positive partnership formed with the Netherlands will continue to develop and strengthen, and the ongoing respective programs will be expanded in the near future and new tangible results will be achieved.

During the meeting, the parties discussed new prospects for collaboration, particularly in digitization, cybersecurity, telecommunications, microelectronics, and e-government. Current programs and tasks of ensuring their continuity were also discussed.

The Dutch ambassador noted that the Netherlands has a special attitude towards Armenia, and emphasized the marked interest of both countries in technology, which creates considerable prerequisites for the expansion of collaboration in high technology. Also, the Dutch diplomat expressed confidence that new joint programs will be developed and implemented in the near future, and that the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia will be actively engaged in that.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Robert Khachatryan wished Ambassador Nicholas Schermers success in his future activities.
