YEREVAN. – Armenian government reception hall on Friday held hearings on the project of National strategy of reducing risks. It was elaborated by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and UNDP. Later the document should be presented for the government’s approval.

Representatives of interested Ministries, international organizations took part in the hearings. Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan said that Armenia already has a Center for crisis management. Its effectiveness was confirmed in landslide operations in Tavush Region. 

UN Resident Coordinator/ UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia Dafina Gercheva in her welcoming speech stated that each citizen should contribute to the reduction of the risks.
