VAN. – No Armenian was injured from the earthquake in Turkey, according to initial data, Istanbul-based Agos Armenian newspaper reported Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Armenian Surb Khach Church was not damaged from earthquake, as it was relatively far away from the epicenter.
Major earthquake of 7.2 magnitude occurred in the eastern part of Turkey at 03.40 p.m. Yerevan time on October 23. Armenia registered the earthquake of 3-5 magnitude.
