During his visit to Serbia, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu expressed his bewilderment at the press writing that Turkey has closed its doors before international relief that was offered for the country’s earthquake. 

Davutoglu maintained that they have not turned down any country wishing to render assistance. “I was very surprised to hear that the international press wrote that Turkey has closed its doors before international relief. On the contrary, Turkey’s PM thanked all those countries for the assistance. Relief has come from approximately twenty countries, and we are thankful for that,” Ahmet Davutoglu told Anadolu News Agency.      

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan had said Turkey is capable of surmounting the tremor’s effects on its own, but at the same time thanked all those countries, including Armenia and Israel, which offered to provide assistance.
