An Israeli-owned merchant ship in the Arabian Sea off India's west coast was attacked by a drone, causing a fire, British maritime security company Ambrey said on Saturday, Reuters reports.
A fire on a Liberian-flagged chemical tanker has been extinguished and the crew was not injured, the incident occurred 200 kilometers southwest of the Indian city of Veraval, a report said.
"Some structural damage was also reported and some water came on board. The vessel belonged to Israel. It had last called at Saudi Arabia and was on its way to India at that time," the company said on its website.
The company said the Indian navy is taking action.
