The Turkish parliament has approved the draft protocol on Sweden joining NATO, reports Anadolu Agency.
In late December, the respective committee of the Turkish legislature had approved this draft.
The last remaining country that has not yet approved Sweden's membership in NATO is Hungary. Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban had announced that he invited Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson to Budapest, and that the key topic of their talk will be Sweden's NATO membership negotiations.
