YEREVAN. – At the end of the work day on Wednesday evening, Armenia’s Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Arthur Petrosyan, packed his personal belongings from his office, Hraparak daily writes.
“This position belongs to [ruling coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP, and as long as PAP is a coalition member, solely [its Chairman] Gagik Tsarukyan is empowered to demand the resignation of his fellow party member. Yesterday [Wednesday] evening, the Ministry staff was discussing the causes for this situation, but they had no clear explanation. Perhaps one of the reasons was the Ministry employees’ letter addressed to PAP leader, in which they had requested him to take measures toward bringing Petrosyan to order,” Hraparak writes.
