VANADZOR. – Martin Abrahamyan, who brutally killed his father and wife on early Wednesday morning, in Darpas village of Armenia’s Lori Region, is detained, Lori’s Investigation Division Head Gagik Ispiryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

When killing his wife, the 1.5-year-old son was on the same bed with his mother, and after killing his wife, Abrahamyan took the child from the bed, while their 6-year-old girl was with her grandmother. The two children are now under the care of their neighbors.

To remind, Abrahamyan, 34, who was in an unbalanced mental state at home, killed, with a pocket knife, his wife, Armenuhi Shirinyan, 29, and subsequently stabbed several times his father, Vahan Abrahamyan, 60, who died on the way to hospital.      

The said knife is seized, a medical examination is set, and the circumstances are being ascertained.
