ANKARA. – Director of Belge Publishing House Ragip Zarakolu is currently under custody of strict regime in Turkey, Asbarez reports quoting Info-Turk.be.

“My arrest and accusations for the membership of an illegal organization are part of the campaign. It aims to scare intellectuals and democrats in Turkey, in particular deprive the Kurds from support,” Zarakolu wrote in the letter to his lawyer.

Zarakolu said that police has confiscated several books, including books on Armenia Genocide and history, as a ‘proof of crime,’ as it found nothing proving his membership to an organization.
