YEREVAN. - “I believe today’s discussions are messages coming from different places. Today they ask me why I refused the National Assembly (NA) Speaker’s office when I was offered. They wan to know what Galust Sahakyan is thinking,” ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia’s NA Faction leader Galust Sahakyan said, in an interview with 168 Zham daily, responding to the question as to whether he could become NA Speaker.  

“But in the very next moment, Sahakyan himself attempted to send a message to the respective people and listed his positive qualities. ‘I am faction leader since 2000. My role was so great [and] so characteristic that I don’t have a problem of seeing a dream ahead of time, of saying it’s a good seat, [I should go and become] NA Speaker. I have three tools that are mine and no one has endowed it to me. It is my idea, my principle, and my word. I alone master these tools,’ he said,” 168 Zham daily writes.
